Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to share a bit of my story with you.

My name is Madison Alderman, but you probably know me as Madi Aldy! :)

I'm 31 years old, and I'm currently based out of Northern Utah.

After marrying my best friend at the end of one of the craziest years of our lives (2020), I decided to make the switch to pursuing my passion for photography full time. I worked with so many amazing couples for weddings, engagements, creative portraits, and all the things. I put it all on pause once my husband and I started trying to grow our family. Our journey was far from easy and came with a lot more ups and downs than we had expected. I remember starting to question things when it took almost a full year to get a positive pregnancy test. Once I did, I couldn't believe it. I've never felt such an incredible amount of joy.

Shortly after, we lost the pregnancy, and my entire perspective on everything had changed. I felt so fragile, like my body wasn't capable of doing what it was supposed to do. We ended up having another miscarriage just before becoming pregnant with my daughter. Needless to say, my entire pregnancy journey with her was covered in a cloud of worry, doubt, and anxiety. I felt like I wouldn't be able to breathe properly until she was in my arms. But The Lord provided. She was placed on my chest in February 2024 and our lives were forever changed.

I struggled with both postpartum depression and postpartum OCD for while after my daughter was born. I'm so grateful to Jesus and my husband for never making me feel like I was alone, even in the hardest times.

When we decided it felt right to add to our family, we experienced two more miscarriages before becoming pregnant with our son. The early losses were heartbreaking, and the baby we lost at 9 weeks completely shattered me. Only God could give me the strength to keep going. To keep trying.

I'm so incredibly overjoyed to be pregnant now with our baby boy, and cannot wait to meet him at the end of this Summer.

I share my story with you in case it resonates in any way. Every journey to motherhood is unique and we all have stories to tell. I want other women to know that they're not alone in it. Even the tough stuff.

The hard times have made me so much stronger, and it's a constant reminder of how much a miracle children truly are. I can't express the amount of gratitude I feel that The Lord placed life in my womb, and the comfort it brings me knowing He's taking care of our angel babies.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to connect with you soon!

A few other facts about me - I love Jesus, my dog, video games, the gym, and ice cream. So if we share any of these things in common, we will probably become great friends!!! :)
