Taking the test is always the hardest. Because for Taking the test is always the hardest. Because for a brief few seconds you start to feel guilty for questioning God’s timing. I know everything happens when it’s supposed to. My whole life has been proof of God’s perfect timing. So I know this won’t be any different. But I’d be lying if I said that knowing that makes it any easier to not breakdown every time I don’t see that second little pink line. I keep telling myself every month I’ll be okay either way, and then something about not seeing that line just absolutely shatters me.

I hope that in the future our kids can feel how hard we prayed for them. I hope they never have to go through one single second of feeling unloved by Jesus, and by their parents, and by the people in their lives. I hope they know how much joy it brings their dad and I to talk about them. Wonder about them. Want to know them. And I hope they grow to see themselves in the way that God sees them.

I’ve kept this part of my life pretty private. A lot of that is because (more than anything) I never want anyone to feel bad, and I never want anyone to feel like they can’t share their good news with me because of our current situation. We don’t ever want anyone to feel like they need to filter their lives in order to be sensitive to us. Jeremy and I have been so incredibly blessed with all of the people in our lives lately who have had healthy pregnancies and beautiful little babes. It keeps us hopeful 🙏 and we know that it’ll be our turn soon.

I guess the reason I’m posting this now is because I wish I would’ve seen more of this when we first started trying. I’ve heard so many stories of “accidental pregnancy” or getting pregnant right away, so when I went to the doctor and she said everything looked good I just figured it would happen pretty quick.. and then that was obviously not the case haha. I understand that it’s a very sensitive and personal topic and everyone’s journey looks so different, but just know that if you’re going through something similar right now, your feelings matter. It’s ok to lose hope. It’s ok to get that hope back again. It’s ok to want for something so bad it hurts. You’re never alone. 🤍
